What is Climate Change
Our atmosphere reflects only half of the rays coming from the sun with the support of gases such as methane, ozone, carbon dioxide and water vapor. Thanks to these gases called greenhouse gases, our atmosphere acts as a blanket, bringing the average temperature on the earth to 15 ° C. In this way, living things continue their lives. But this rate is increasing due to climate change. This effect of greenhouse gases is called "greenhouse gas effect".
The İmpact of Climate Change on Nature
Drought, floods, hurricanes, rising water level in the ocean, melting of glaciers and most commonly temperature rise. People and creatures facing these dangers are at risk. As a result of the analysis, it is estimated that the poor will be affected much more by climate change.
In order to minimize the severe effects of climate change, the scientific world is of the opinion that the temperature increase should be a maximum of 2 ° C. For this reason, the Paris Agreement was signed by many countries in France in 2015.
If carbon dioxide emissions continue at this rate, it predicts that the temperature increase will be 4 ° C in 2060. The reason for this is that current administrations maintain their old growth policies.
What Can Be Done to Prevent Climate Change?
1-Protecting Forests
Due to the increase in forest fires and cutting down trees in recent years, forests are gradually decreasing in the world. 17% of greenhouse gas emissions are due to the reduction of trees. We can reduce climate change to some extent by reforesting nature.
